Santurce - Bayamon 59-67 An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Santurce. First ranked Vaqueros faced 4th placed Cangrejeros. Guests from Bayamon (27-3) defeated host Cangrejeros (14-16) 67-59. They outrebounded Cangrejeros 50-36 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Vaqueros looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international Javier Mojica (189-84, college: CCSU, agency: Paris Global Sports) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and power forward Owens Perez (206-92) chipped in 5 points and 16 rebounds. Vaqueros' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Michael Beasley (208-89, college: Kansas St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and American-Venezuelan Donta Smith (201-83, college: SE Illinois JC) scored 4 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Cariduros (17-13) 72-58. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Capitanes. Cariduros looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Antonio Ralat (188, college: UAB) who scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Leandro Allende (198-98, college: Barry, agency: Green Sports Management) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Five Cariduros players scored in double figures. American point guard Kalin Lucas (185-89, college: Michigan St.) responded with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and international forward Derek Reese (203-93, college: Tennessee) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists.
